Apollo 11
NASA launched Apollo 11
And sent it to land on the Moon
After three days on its way
It landed in the afternoon.
In America people shouted hooray
In Mission Control there was a cheer
The astronauts had done the
impossible
And landed on the moon so near.
Neil Armstrong said his famous speech
Buzz Aldrin followed behind
They felt sad when it was time to
Leave the moon behind.
So back they came with their
spacecraft
And landed in the sea
After stepping out they said,
“It was a spectacular sight to see.”
