The B29 Superfortress
Over the dark green hills,
Over the deep blue sea,
Flies a silvery B29 Bomber,
From an engineering fantasy.
Flying like a giant eagle
Its engines a deep-throated roar,
With the amount of armour it’s got,
The bullets it can endure even more.
High in the sky it flies,
A piece of engineering to admire,
Its turrets are locked and loaded,
Ready at a moment’s notice to fire.
Over it flies fully loaded,
It gets in sight of the destination,
Out go quite a few bombs,
And away flies the war winning
creation.
Such a great war machine,
Original of the Tupolev-4,
One of the widely used bombers,
It is worthy of fantasy lore.
