The Duel

The Duel

There once lived two young Knights,
Who were the bitterest of foes,
One was the great Sir Henry,
And the other Sir Rose.

Sir Henry mocked Sir Rose,
And challenged him to a duel,
“I accept your challenge” said Sir Rose,
“You filthy old mule.”

They began their epic duel,
To watch it came all folk,
Then Sir Rose thrust his sword.
And gave Sir Henry a poke.

“Ouch!” cried Sir Henry,
And called Sir Rose a twit,
“I’ll make your pride crumble.” Said he,
“And I’ll do it bit by bit.”

Sir Henry then slashed his sword,
And cut Sir Rose’s sleeve,
“How dare you cut my shirt!” said he,
“It took three years to weave.”

They then traded blows,
And cursed each other a bit,
While the townsfolk just kept watching,
Enraptured by all of it.

Sir Henry sliced and blocked,
Sir rose blocked and sliced,
It’s what they kept on doing,
And their clothes got quartered and diced.

That’s how they kept on fighting,
They might still be fighting now,
Oh! I have to go,
Have a good day and Ciao!
